As a Tiger fan this game scares me. I was all over OSU last week, thought I had it won and then OSU changed their defensive philosophy in the 4th qtr., allowed a bubble screen that Tech ran for 20 yds. a clip and covered, almost won outright. Not to mention destroying the Over. Most posts in this forum favor the Raiders and rightfully so. They unashamedly pass on every down and score at will. The OSU game lasted four and a half hours with no OT!!
Mizzou's pass defense is not as bad as you might think. They came out of the OU game with more confidence than they had going in. They create turnovers and can pressure the QB. They are vulnerable to the screen passes and over the middle but they can defend the deep pass.
Tech is not as good on the road as they are in Lubbock. They have yet to blow anyone out when
they don't have their fans flipping tortillas.
I'm not going to predict a Tiger win here but I also don't think a play against them is a very strong play. I thought the O/U would be in the 80s but its now at 74.5. That might be the way to go. I'm fairly confident that Mizzou can score 35 to 40 pts. They don't turn the ball over and that could be the difference. This is their "bowl qualification game" so they will be fired up and have a full house cheering them on.
Any thoughts or comments are welcome. This is a very interesting match up.
